Replacing the Whirlpool WPW10436303 TIMER
Instructions:
1. Unplug the appliance and shut off the electrical circuit that supplies power to it.
2. Remove the screws or connectors that secure the control panel and set aside. Some Whirlpool models will have a retaining clip. If so, use a flat-head screwdriver to depress the clip before pulling off the control panel.
3. Separate the control panel and locate the timer. This is usually found on the left side of the panel.
4. Unhook the wires connected to the timer. Some are held in place by spring clips, while others may require a screwdriver.
5. Take note of the wire positions and connections before removing the timer. Transfer these connections over to the new timer.
6. Install the new timer. When the connections are complete, replace the control panel and reattach the screws or connector.
7. Reconnect the appliance to power, and turn on the electrical circuit.
8. Test the timer for proper operation. This includes setting the timer and listening for any clicking or moving parts.
