Step-by-Step Guide to Replacing the AJH31248608 LG Dishwasher Sump Pump Assembly
1. Unplug your LG dishwasher from the power source and shut off the water to the unit.
2. Place a bucket or pan beneath the sump pump area of the unit to catch any water that may come out and remove the drain hose and drain pipe.
3. Open the bottom access panel of the LG dishwasher and locate the sump pump assembly.
4. Disconnect the wiring harness leading to the sump pump and unscrew the mounting screws to remove the assembly.
5. Insert the new sump pump assembly and secure it with the mounting screws.
6. Reattach the wiring harness, replace the drain pipe and drain hose, and reassemble the bottom access panel.
7. Turn on the water to the unit and plug the dishwasher back into the power source.
8. Test the new sump pump assembly by running a cycle to ensure it is working properly.
