1. Begin by turning off the power to the dryer at the circuit breaker to avoid the risk of electric shock.
2. Unplug the dryer from the wall outlet.
3. Open the dryer door and remove the two screws that hold the front panel in place.
4. Carefully lift the front panel off and set it aside.
5. Locate the WE1M504 GE Drum Bearing Slide Glide, which is located at the center of the dryer drum.
6. Remove the screws from the slide glide and remove it from the dryer.
7. Slide the new WE1M504 GE Drum Bearing Slide Glide in place, lining up the holes and mounting screws.
8. Secure the new slide glide with the mounting screws and tighten them to ensure a snug fit.
9. Replace the front panel and secure it with the two screws.
10. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet, and turn the circuit breaker to the “on” position.
11. Test the dryer to make sure it runs properly.
