Step 1: Safety First - Make sure to unplug the appliance and shut off the power before performing any repairs.
Step 2: Gather the needed tools - You will need a Phillips and flat head screwdriver, a pair of needle-nose pliers, and a putty knife to complete this repair.
Step 3: Access the blower assembly - Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws securing the back panel. Carefully set the panel aside. Note: There may be additional screws in other areas of the appliance you will need to remove.
Step 4: Disconnect the existing blower assembly - Using the needle-nose pliers, gently disconnect the wiring harness from the blower motor. For safety reasons, we recommend tagging each wire with a piece of masking tape to ensure proper reattachment.
Step 5: Install the new blower assembly - With the old blower assembly removed, attach the new blower assembly using the included hardware. Don’t forget to reconnect the wiring harness as well.
Step 6: Reattach the back panel - With the new blower assembly properly installed, carefully place the back panel back on the appliance and secure it with the Phillips screws.
Step 7: Test the new blower assembly - Plug in the appliance and turn it on. If the blower assembly is working correctly, you can move on to the next step.
Step 8: Clean up - Now that the repair is complete, use a damp rag and putty knife to remove any dirt and debris from the inside of the appliance. This will help ensure its best performance.
