DIY Instructions to Replace the Whirlpool Refrigerator Cartridge-Bypass W11395888
1. Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet and turn off the ice maker water supply.
2. Locate the refrigerator’s water filter cartridge on the back of the refrigerator. The cartridge will be a cylindrical object and will have the model number W11395888 printed on it.
3. Open the fridge door and remove the screws that hold the cartridge in place.
4. Remove the old cartridge and discard it, ensuring that all parts and filters related to it are removed and discarded.
5. Take the new cartridge and remove the plastic cap.
6. Align the cartridge so that the holes on the bottom line up with the holes on the refrigerator.
7. Insert the new cartridge and replace the screws to securely fasten the new cartridge.
8. Plug the refrigerator back into the wall outlet and turn on the ice maker water supply.
9. Run the water for three to five minutes to flush out any residual sediment or impurities that may have been left behind.
10. Finally, once the refrigerator is running smoothly again, enjoy your refreshingly clean and cold drinking water!
